About the Authors
Julia Morse and Tom Cone have grown
Giant Pumpkins for many years to enter in the Topsfield Fair in
Massachusetts. They often uncovered mouse families under the pumpkin
that was chosen to take to the Fair. This inspired them to write a
story about mice, giant pumpkins and the Topsfield Fair Giant
Pumpkin Weigh Off.
Julia is a former nursery school teacher and Tom is a high school
biology teacher. They volunteer time teaching natural science
activities in their grandchildren's schools. |
